If your period is irregular, your ovulation is irregular. There are ovulation tests you can take to see when the best time to try to conceive is (available over the counter) also, there are other symptoms of ovulation that may help you.

This site I just googled may help you!

What are the symptoms of ovulation?

Good luck conceiving, start taking prenatal vitamins now so your future baby can be healthy and strong! :)

Usually when you are pregnant, you do not get a regular period at all, but in rare cases this does happen.

Fertility doctors said the more you have sex during the month, not only do your chances increase but the male improves the quality and quantity of his semen/sperm by ejaculating "old" material and increasing his vigor. Holding off until only a few days a month tends to allow semen to age and deteriorate.

I have been a sufferer of irregular periods all my life. I got pregnant with my daughter with irregular periods, and while on birth control. Now my husband and I are trying to get pregnant and my irregular periods are really causing a problem.

I used to have just 'irregular' periods... but that soon turned into 'no' periods. So make sure you don't go more than a few months without one (if you are missing them).

If you are Trying to conceive you should visit your doctor and get a pre-pregnancy work up. They should include blood work to make sure all your hormones are at the right levels to achieve pregnancy. At this time you can discuss with your doctor your irregular periods. You doctor can put you on medication to help regulate you.

Now if your periods are just irregular in length, and you don't miss any... the using ovulation predictor kits is probably your best bet. But keep in mind, these only PREDICT when you should ovulate, not that you actually do.
I have found, that when you have irregular periods you end up having to use a lot of tests... so I buy mine from here... Early Pregnancy Tests and Ovulation Predictor Kits for Home Use. They have great combo packs of ovulation test with pregnancy tests. They are much much cheaper then buying from the store and they work just the same.

    Good luck :)

I have very irregular periods as well... I had a pre-pregnancy evalution done and my blood test showed that my estrogen level was unusually low, so it would be hard to conceive, and my dr. also told me that if I would have conceived then it could have been a troublesome pregnancy. My doctor put me back on B/C pills for three months and then we have to wait for one month after that and then try again. I would strongly suggest going to see your doctor, because the stress of "wondering" can also cause problems!

I used the ovulation predictor kits (OPK's) and it showed that I was ovulating, but I never became pregnant, but they are VERY helpful when you are trying. Also you can try charting your BBT.

    Good Luck!!

I dont really comprehend the Ovulating CYCLE and how it works.
If you count 14 days from your period starting this is roughly when you ovulate, so your more likely to conceive then,

I heard one time that its best I think 13-17 days after your last period is the best time you can get pregnant... but because you have iregular periods it may be different but you could still try it..
