    Goodman furnace model capf3030b6ba
    October 2010 a had a new house built. The furnace and ac is a Distinctions. The model number is: CAPF3030B6BA and serial number is: 1006766521.

    In a 1 1/2 years the compressor has gone out. I would like to know if this model continues to be made and if compressors are readly available.

    The unit came from Goodman Company in Houston, Texas.

    When was this unit manufactured?

    I am sure the compressor is still available but by the time you buy it and have it installed you might consider getting a new unit with a warranty. Actually I would be finding out why the compressor went bad to start with. I have 3 central airs in this home and one was installed in 1978 and the other 2 were installed in 1985 and none of them has ever had a compressor replaced.

    Usually compressor replacement is caused by a bad install or improper setup and service. Some new units do come with a 10 year warranty on parts and labor so keep that in mind while you are searching for a real qualified company to do the work since the last company you used did not seem to do so well. Good luck.

    That model number I believe is for a coil. See below
