    Sears HE3 Washer / Dryer - Stacking
I own a Sears HE3 Washer and Dryer and want to place the dryer on top of the washer. Is there any additional hardware required to do this or do I simply place the dryer on top of the washer?

    Hello Steve

Just make sure that the basis for your dryer is flat and secure. Best is to use a wooden plate/shelf with all around under and above the plate small thin wooden edges, just to keep the units from "walking" during spinning. You can always fit stick-on fineer finish against the sides of the plate to improve the view of it.

Remember : another thing to consider is the electricity supply. Both units can consume up to 2500 Watts, equalling some 12 Amps each at 220 Volt.
Either use a switched outlet (which allows only the dryer or the washer to be running) or install dual wiring to the fuseboard. Also check the max. rating of the fuse(s).

I'm always available for more information, if needed.

    Success !

    :)

    Steve,
How did this work out for you? I am contemplating the same thing with the same equipment.

JSkip- Take your model number to the local appliance store that deals with your brand and ask for a stacking kit. Follow the instructions. Nothing eletricial needs to be changed.

Good evening everyone! My 3 year old Kenmore Stacking Dryer just developed a clunking sound in the past two drying cycles. The sound is similar to the one produced if you put a sneaker in the dryer and each rotation the sneaker would bounce off the drum. We live about 45 miles from the nearest...
