Do I need a new boiler
My hot water tank is getting hot, and my radiators are red hot but when I go to have a shower the water is cold, I have found if I turn the cold tap on in the hand basin the water is a bit warmer in the shower, does this mean I need a new boiler?

Is this a steam or hot water system? Is yours a gravity or circulating system? Could be air bound but sounds more like your circulating pump, if so equipped, isn't working.

Not a boiler issue. Either a recirculating pump or perhaps a cross connection across a single handle faucet or shower valve. This type of problem can be a bit tricky to work through, but with a little patience and some guidance you should be able to resolve the problem without too much trouble. Let us know you are still around... see what we can do to help.

Is my hobart 600 a steam boiler or a hot water boiler. There is no circulator pump [ 0 Answers ]

I have a Hobart 600 automatic gas fired furnace. The first thing is I cannot see a circulater pump or a air tank. I can not tell if it is steam or hot water. When I go to fill the system with water, the system fills and then the water continues to flow out to the drain pipe.
