I would like to control the flow of hot water to the dishwasher. I want to drain the initial cold water and send the hot water when it gets hot enhough through to the dishwasher. Can that be done with standard Thermostatic Mixing Valve?
I have had fitted a thermostatic shower mixer valve but I cannot adjust the temp it is either scalding hot or cold. My plumber said the valve was faulty so I replaced the cartridge but it is still the same. Could it be that if he has connected the hot and cold feeds wrong it would work like this....

I have a Hansa thermostatic shower valve with volume control and recently it started providing very little hot water pressure but plenty of cold water pressure. Do these valves fail all of a sudden?
