    Bryant ceiling mount furnace
 thank you but I think you misunderstood, the fan(blower) remains on entire time.the fire(burners) are turning on and off in a matter of minutes, approximately 3 min. cycles. Is there a switch like the blower switch for the flame? Or is this stemming from the regulator somehow. I know the gas is being shut off just not sure of source of signal thanks again for you time mike

Sounds like it could be a bad flame sensor or auto pilot which ever that furnace has

Adding some details. If a bad switch is sending a false signal, the controls will keep the blower going and keep trying to restart the burner. Fix the problem with the switch as Northern Heat said, and the furnace will work.
