When the fittings begain to leak or the pipes build up enough rust to cut down on the volume. This happens when you flush a toilet and at the same time attempt to draw a glass of water only to find you don't have enough pressure to do it. Or you're in the shower and someone flushes the potty. Good luck, Tom

Life expectancy of galvanized pipe is about 27 years. We have rule of thumb which says: if you have 3rd leak - start thinking about repiping.

Have slab leak. Am laying out repiping plan. Is there a standard method for crossing electrical in the attic? In a wall? Can I run the pipes on the ceiling joists? Or do they need to be hung/attached some distance above them? Thanks
