    How do I know when I should consider repiping my house that has galvanized pipe?

    When the fittings begain to leak or the pipes build up enough rust to cut down on the volume. This happens when you flush a toilet and at the same time attempt to draw a glass of water only to find you don't have enough pressure to do it. Or you're in the shower and someone flushes the potty.     Life expectancy of galvanized pipe is about 27 years. We have rule of thumb which says: if you have 3rd leak - start thinking about repiping.
