    Hampton Bay/Hunter Breeze Fan
We purchased a ceiling fan from Lowe's in August 2005. The fan has never worked. We just had another electrician come out and test all of the wires. He said there is power going to the motor, but the motor is no good.

There is a remote with this fan, but we are unable to use it to turn lights on with it. The red light on the remote does flash.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

If your electrician confirmed power at the motor then it is not the remote. You waited way too long but try calling Lowe's and ask if they can help. I bought a fan there yesterday with a factory remote for $59.

If the lights won't come on, then the problem is not the motor. It may be the receiver. If the fan has never worked since you purchased it I would still try to return it.
