    Hampton Bay fan, Hunter light kit?
    I just bought a Hampton Bay fan that did not come with a light but states that it's light kit adaptable. I am bidding on a Hunter light kit on eBay but just noticed on a lighting website that Hunter light kits may not work on anything but a Hunter fan. Has anyone had experience with this? Or any recommendations for light kits that do work on a Hampton Bay? Thanks!:confused:

    For the most part, all light kits are compatible with all fans.

    There are two different ways a light kit mounts to a fan. With two screws, or with a single threaded bolt. Most lights are designed to attach both ways, and most fans are designed to receive a light both ways.
