Hampton Bay Remote / Hunter Fan
I installed a Hunter ceiling fan with a Hampton Bay remote about a year ago and it stopped working. I called Hunter and they sent me the whole new lower assembly with capacitors and chain pull. However, that was not the problem.

I have power to the fan through the remote transmitter to the fan; however, when I hook up both the blk/wht wire and blk wire to blk wire from transmitter I have no power. When I hook up just the blk/wht wire I have power on that wire to chain pull but no power to the black. When I initially installed it I had the blk/wht & blk wires all wired nutted together and it worked fine for one year +. Now when I hook those wires together I do not get power through both wires.

There is no light fixture with this fan.

Ok, have you tried powering the fan without the remote? You connect the black from the fan to the black in the ceiling, white from the fan to the white in the ceiling.

You can ignored the striped wire as you have no light.
