    Hi,
I need to know the color code of a resister which is missing in the circuit board, I try to replace it because it was burned.

The serial number of the furnace is :GUJ100D14-3 A.
The circuit board number is: FCC-1A 40403001

I just couldn't find any information of the parts on the circuit board.

    Thanks!

Do you know how to read the colors?
It may be easier to find a Local AC Company and maybe a Tech would allow you to look at a board. I do this for people.
Some techs won't tell you if they knew.
Couldn't see the photo, does it show the colors of the resistor? may be readable where it is close to the board.

I would remove with side cutters and see if you can read the value.

70K98 IND. BOARD PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD - View Photo
If that shows Blue/Red/Brown/Gold, then it is 620 ohms at 5% tollerance.

    Thanks a lot guys.

I tried a 5600 resistor first, it didn't work; then I tried 1.2k it worked. Know I know it should be 620 5%. Thanks for the photo of the circuit board, I spent several hours trying to find a photo of this board but I couldn't find one because it was replaced by R40403-003.

    Thanks again!

I have the same board with discoloration around the same resistor. I went to try to find a replacement but don't know how many watts it is. Can someone help me?

    Thanks

If it does show Blue/Red/Brown, That IS 620 ohms.
It is a Metal Oxide Film Resistor, would guess 5 watts, maybe 7.2, Veirfy the colors, I can't be positive of the colors.

I had the same problem and was lucky enough to find this board. The resistor on my board was so badly discolored I could not even tell the colors. I cut it out and measured it. It is 620 ohms for sure. The resistor was badly damaged and the copper on the FR4 board was peeling. I put a wire jumper to bypass the peeling copper and a 1k resistor in its place and now it works just fine. Fry's did not have 620ohms in stock, so I plan to replace it with the correct value later but the night before thanksgiving I can't be choosy. The resistor is a 2W resistor, but seeing that it burned out once, I may put in a 5W resistor instead. Thanks for all the advice. The repair guy we called was going to replace the board but did not have one in hand and this just saved me at least $200.
