    Hi Kalicramer...

Have you run any water down the drain to see if it is draining? All floor drains have standing water in them... is that what you see, or is it filled with mud and really clogged? Or is it that the drain is backing up and almost overflowing the drain?

Run some water down the drain... let me know what happens.

The question is, where did the mud come from? A broken pipe? Dirt off the basement floor? Answer Marks questions and get back to us. Good luck, Tom

Basement floor drain [ 1 Answers ]

We were having problems with the basement floor drain not draining, so a friend (who worked for Roto Rooter) came over and unplugged the "overflow plug" and said that would fix it. Another friend at a later date said that was dangerous because of methane gas coming up - can you tell me who is...

Basement Floor Drain [ 2 Answers ]

I have a floor drain in the basement which appears to be dried out. When I put water down the drain it just sat there for a couple of days before drying out. Could the drain have a blockage and, if so, how do I fix it. I'm concerned because the drain is the only apparent relief from water in the...
