    Running toilet
The tank slowly drains until it turns on the water intake. I have replaced the flapper and that has caused the toilet to run less but has not completely stopped the problem. The bathroom was installed several years ago but this problem is fairly new, about the last 6 months or so. What could be the cause and how do I stop it? Thanks! TAG

If the plug doesn't go down completely into the drain hole, water may leak from there. Make sure the chain or whatever it is on is long enough to make proper closure, but not too long that it doesn't make proper closure because it floats all around when you lift it. Also, make sure that the plug is the proper size. If it's too big or small, water will leak until suction is lost and the water drains, then your toilet will run and run.

Sounds like toilet is running? [ 3 Answers ]

Sounds like toilet is running constantly but the toilets aren't running. Even after I turn the water valve off for the entire house, the sound is still heard. This has been happening for a few days now. What could this be? And why is it happening? Thank you:confused:

My toilet is always running [ 1 Answers ]

After flushing the toilet the water continues to run and run until you jiggle the flapper. I have tried adjusting the length of the chain in the tank but that does not seems to eleviate the problem. What is the solution to my problem?

Running Toilet [ 1 Answers ]

My toilet keeps running. I take the lid of the tank off and mess with the float and it turns off. What do I need to adjust to fix the problem?

Toilet keeps running [ 2 Answers ]

I think I need to replace the 'float' system in the toilet. It appears, after filling, the float is not shutting off the water. I try to manually raise the float higher, but this does not work. While this is not a costly repair, could it be anything else?
