Faucets continues flowing with sprayer engaged
I installed a Moen 7065 single-handle kitchen faucet with sprayer. The faucet works as expected. When I engage the sprayer, water continues to flow from the faucet. The water pressure coming out of the sprayer is excellent. Shouldn't the faucet disengage when the sprayer is used? If so, what part of the faucet is likely at fault? The original diverter that came with the faucet was faulty (the sprayer wouldn't engage at all) and Moen sent a replacement.

    Thanks.

Yes, That's the function of the diverter. You either got sent the wrong diverter4 or you installed it incorrectly. Another reason could be the valve body was faulty from the Git-Go. Can you request a replacement under warranty? Regards, Tom
