We have no Hot water flowing from pipes ?
    Hi

We woke up this morning to find the hot water is not flowing through the pipes in the house, the cold was doing the same, but now seems okay again, there is a very small drip coming through the hot tap after we turn it off for a while. Our system is an imersion tank in the airing cupboard, and we have no boiler etc as we have electric heating.

My Husband has checked the tank in loft and this appears to not be filling up, can you help ?

    Regards Tracy

Since both hot and cold had a problem for awhile and now its just the hot, I'd suspect you have some debris coming in from your supply. It may have cleared itself in the cold and still stick in the feed to the hot water heater. I'd drain the tank with the supply still fully on to see if the change in pressure will dislodge the junk. You should drain the tank anyway several times a year. If the tank doesn't re-fill on it's own them you need to open the supply connection after shutting down your main. Do you have a water softner or any filters in this system? Back to you.

Kitchen Hot Water Stops Flowing [ 3 Answers ]
