    Is there a mugshot required for theft under $5000 first offense?
    Is a mugshot required for theft under $5000 first offense? Or just the fingerprint?

    Is this Iran, or perhaps in England, or maybe France ?

    But if this is ( let me guess) Canada, they do photo and fingerprinting both. In fact I am not aware of anywhere that does not do photos with any booking

    Canada. The officer who arrested me gave me an appearance notice and as I remember, he only said for fingerprinting and he wrote in there for criminal identification. I even asked my lawyer and he said only for fingerprints. So I don't really know which one is which.
