"The chocolates"? How much, how many? His breed does not matter. His weight does.

I'd call the Vet and ask.

Some dogs can eat a pound of chocolate with no trouble, others have a tiny piece and have an extremely bad reaction, it depends on the individual dog.

Keep a close eye on the dog and if you notice any change in behavior such as shaking, lethargy, vomiting etc take the dog to the vet immediately.

My small terrier got into a 5 pound chocolate bar one night. She didn't eat the whole thing, but my guess was that she ended up eating about a pound of it. It was too late to take her to the vet, so I had plans to take her first thing in the morning. I stayed up with her all night through the vomiting and diarrhea, and kept fluids available to her. By 9 am she was done, and could rest. She pretty much slept the whole day, and she is still with us, and is as healthy as ever. We got lucky, she got enough chocolate that would be lethal to a lot of dogs. And if your dog ate enough chocolate to make it sick, it needs to be taken to the vet.
