Am I grounding this light correctly?
In installing a new ceiling light, I see the house black wire, white wire and the ground wire, which is screwed into the octagon electric box.
My new light has a ground wire also, and the mounting bracket of the new light has a screw marked for the ground wire.
Am I to leave the ground on the octagon box as is, and attach the ground from the new fixture to the mounting bracket on my new fixture?
    Thanks,

Normally, I would connect the ground wire to the octagon box and then wire nut the two grounds together.
