Can a remote operated Hampton Bay ceiling fan/light be wired to work with a standard wall mounted dimmer switch? Our remote is broken and we do not have an extra and would like to avoid purchasing an new remote.

I purchased both a Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan and their wired remote. The fan's light kit indicates only use Fluorescent bulbs while the remote instructions say only use incandescent bulbs. The question is can I use Fluorescent bulbs with the remote?

I have a hampton bay ceiling fan. I droped the remote and cannot get it to work again! It is only controlled by the remote. The light was on when I droped the control and it is the only function working. Thanks, kingchicken

We just replaced an existing ceiling fan with a Hampton Bay ceiling fan with remote. When using the remote, the lights can be turned on and dimmed.
