    Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan Remote
I purchased both a Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan and their wired remote. The fan's light kit indicates only use Fluorescent bulbs while the remote instructions say only use incandescent bulbs. The question is can I use Fluorescent bulbs with the remote?

What sort of sockets does the light kit have?

If the remote has a dim function you can't use fluorescent bulbs unless

    1. They are dimmable fluorescents
    2. It is a special remote designed for fluorescents (which it isn't, since it mentions incandescents).

    So try incandescent bulbs.
