Hampton bay ceiling fan remote
I have a hampton bay ceiling fan. I droped the remote and cannot get it to work again! It is only controlled by the remote. The light was on when I droped the control and it is the only function working. Thanks, kingchicken

Check the battery and make sure it is secure.
Does the remote LED light up when you push the other buttons?

It would be a little unusal but the small dip switches inside the cover may have changed position in the fall. Check the position of all switches in the receiver and then the handheld remote, they must match 100%

Sounds like the dip switches must have shifted. At the very least, make sure they are all firmly seated. If that doesn't work try Ballenger's answer.

It sounds like a receiver issue, however the fact that you dropped the remote caused the problem suggests that you should try a replacement remote first.
Does the fan have pullchains?

Proof that a remote LED can light and the remote still be faulty. Good to know.

Hi!
We have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan in our bedroom that is run strictly by remote (no pull chains). It usually works fine and we haven't had too many problems, but occasionally we can get it to turn on, but not off. All of a sudden it (the remote? The receiver?) will stop working when the...
