    Gas furnace won't ignite model GMT090-4 Goodman
    As stated my gas furnace will not ignite. Looked on main board no blinking lights. Everything is connected pretty firm. I can hear it blowing from the induce blower but no igniting. I hear gas coming just won't ignite. I checked the ignitor, it has some white spark residues. Seems still good. But then I notice, seems like there has been an ignitor replacement done before, there was a broken piece from an old ignitor that was laying in the bottom.

    Everything comes down to the ignitor. I can not think of anything else. Woke up this morning noticing no heat, the breaker was tripped so I flipped it back and went under to check. The above is all I can conclude so far.

    If anyone has any input please let me know. Thanks in advance.

    It would be nice to know why the breaker was tripped.

    Does the ignitor glow as the unit is starting up.(watch it for a minute)

    It is possible the flame sensor is dirty.
    Clean the falme sensor. Use fine sand paper or steel wool.

    Don't know why the breaker tripped. Is the ignitor suppose to glow cause mine didn't. If so it must be the ignitor.

    Ignitor OR the circuit board not supplying voltage to the ignitor.

    Will check circuit Board to see if its working. Should be 24 volts right? If it is 24 volts I will replace ignitor. Thanks for your fast responses hvac1000.

    115 volts going to the ignitor.

    Yep 115 is correct. If the ignitor does not light up with 115 volts going to it then the ignitor must be bad.

    An update... well the circuit board and pressure all seemed to check out. The ignitor was bad. I think the ignitor had a tiny crack enough to not ignite but still intact. Ordered and replaced it heater is now working like new. Thanks to all for the advise. :)

    Furnace won't ignite, can't hear gas coming out. When it does get gas out ignites, but won't stay on full cycle. Gas coming out is a 1 in 30 tries hit and miss. Sensor clean and igniter working.
