Are you certain of gas delivery to all burners, especially the one closest to the ignitor? If so, check main burner assembly for build-up or obstruction of some type.

On ours it turned out to be the gas pressure being too low.

Nov 20, 2008 we replaced the cracked ignitor... Goodman furnace part pictures matched on internet. I took the small part off myself and my husband sanded the part and soldered it and it worked until later it cracked again and we replaced it. Easy shmeasy job. An old granny like me can do it. Otherwise you're looking at a few hundred bucks vs $20-30 at the most... if you're fortunate, you may only need to sand the carbon off it!

I have the GMT070-3b Goodman furnace. I can here the gas turn on and I can light it by hand but will not light. It makes since to me that it is probably the Igniter if not that then probably the circuit board. Does anyone have the part number for the Igniter? There are 2 things hanging down pne on the right side and one on the left. Which is the igniter?

Pic 1 is the ignitor kit, part # 0230K00001. Does it glow, as in pic 2? If so, it isn't the problem.

Goodman furnace will not ignite [ 3 Answers ]

I have a Goodman GMPN080-4 Rev 4 furnace and it will not ignite. I believe the, not sure about the tech term, flat bar that turns red hot like a stove coil has gone bad (it does nothing). I see a red LED light on the computer type panel blink 3 quick, 2 sec pause, 3 quick, 2 sec pause and so on....
