    Can't find the right diverter
    Hello all,

Perhaps someone can direct me. I have looked at every hardware store, and Home Depot, and Lowe's locally to find a front diverter with a female 3/4" threaded end. Whoever built the house installed a plastic extension that is adhered to the copper pipe. I do not know how to replace the plastic, it would be much easier to find the proper diverter. If anyone can help me locate one I would be grateful. I have found plenty that have a 1/2" fitting with an extension adapter that steps up to 3/4", but I need one that is 3/4" at the front of the diverter. Thank you all.

    Hi llayne :)

Please clarify. Where is the "plastic extension that is adhered to the copper pipe" that you are speaking of?

And what do you want to use the diverter for?

Click on; http://www.plumbingsupply.com/tubspouts.html and scroll to the bottom of the page and check out the 3/4" Fips Front style diverter spout.
This will accept a 3 3/4" nipple. Good luck, Tom

My 3 knob shower system has a problem. I have replaced both the center diverter valve and the shower head but I still have a problem. The problem is that I have water coming from both the spout and shower when I turn the diverter to shower. Also, each time I use it, it seems to get worse by the...

Diverter Stem [ 1 Answers ]

I am replacing seats and stems in tub/shower. The old one is Sterling--the new faucet set it a PricePfister. The PF diverter stem doesn't fit into the seat (the hot and cold stems do). Can I go to another size diverter with PF?

Diverter knob won't come off [ 3 Answers ]

My shower diverter quit working this morning. (I gave it the tiniest bit of additional torque this morning and now it is diverting only a trickle.) It is the middle knob variety and is probably a Stirling. The diverter assembly hasn't been touched since I bought the house in 1989. I decided...
