Alternate Wiring of Hampton Bay Wall Remote UC-9050T?
Just bought the Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan Wireless Wall Remote and Transmitter, model number UC-9050T.

The Wireless Wall Remote has 2 black wires and 1 green (ground).

One black wire says "Connect to Power Supply (Do not connect to neutral white)"

The other black wire says"To fan (Do not connect to neutral white)"

    []------------TO POWER
    |---------TO FAN

    Now my question is:

The unit still has the dip-switches/frequency settings that my other hand-held remote has.
How is this really a wireless remote if I need to have a black wire running up the wall to the fan?

Or are the double black wires just a way to get the switch a little juice on the way to the fan so it doesn't need a battery? If so, couldn't I connect the black wires to an existing switch (that doesn't control the fan?)

It's wireless because it doesn't require a third wire for separate light and fan operation. I doubt it would work on a different circuit but it wouldn't hurt to try it as long as you Don't connect it across a neutral.
