    Quick Claim Deed Dispute
I signed a quick claim deed to my my ex husband for a piece of property in 1995. He never filed it so the tax bill was still coming in my name. After 5 years of non payment of taxes the state was going to take from me so I paid the taxes and have been to this day. My ex husband filed the quick claim in April 2008 an I un knowingly quick claimed it to my grandson in Oct 2008. So who owns the property now? If it is my Ex husband can I try to get the propoerty from him he never paid taxes on it. And what about the notary being expired, will the state still accept that document?

Your ex-husband owns the property. You can't get the property back from him just because you paid the taxes but you can file a lawsuit against him for the amount of taxes you paid from the date you quit claimed the property to him. But stop paying the taxes!
