    Toilet drain has fallen wax from toilet base
    I did not put the wax ring properly at base of the toilet and some of the wax fell in the toilet drain.now the toilet won't flush.I tried to run a snack in the drain but it is not catching on the snack.
    What can I use to remove or dissolve the wax.please help.
    THIS TOILET IN THE BASEMENT AND IT IS A NEW BASEMENT.THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT THE TOILET HAS BEEN PUT IN THE BASEMENT

    Can you see the wax with the toilet removed.

    If you can't snag it, try using a trible hook on a foot of fishing line. Next try about 4 quick buckets of very hot water. Do you know if there was a neopreme collar on this ring, is it still in place?

    Good idea with the fish hook I was going to suggest a coat hanger straightened out with a J hook bent in the end.
