Do I need to file Bankruptcy?
I live in Florda
My homeowners assoc. put a final judgement against me for not paying my dues. I am also about to have a foreclosure against me for the home. Do I have to file bankruptcy as I do not owe any other bills besides my Mtg. I cannot afford to stay here as the taxes, adjustable rate mtg and insurance and homeowner association dues have gone through the roof. Can I get a garnishee against my pay for this? The bank is getting the home back. |

The only way to know if bankruptcy makes sense is to consult with an Attorney. And, yes, if the mortgage company gets a Judgment they can file a garnishment, as can the HOA. Is there a possibility you could sell the condo to get out from under this debt? An Attorney - and on my area they work with Accountants - could advise you of the best course of action. |
