    Replacing a timer on a dryer
    Can anyone tell me how complicated replacing a timer on a kenmore elite 70 series is, or would be. Thanks a million

    It is a fairly easy job if you see the screws that hold together the top panel, I call it the tower. Open the tower after you unplug the dryer. You aren't the only one with a Kenmore dryer problem Sears Kenmore [Archive] - Appliance Blog Forums
    Is your dryer a touch pad or a knob? Remove the knob by pulling towards you. The knob shaft goes directly into the timer so you can see the part to remove. You should buy the replacement aprt in advance so you can see the attachment method.

I just moved into an apartment with what seems to be a new Kenmore Electric Dryer (model no. 110.62602101) --the film was still on the instrument panel -- which heats fine but it does not time and shut off or shut off when the clothes are dry. Any ideas?
