    Water leak
I discovered wet concrete around the base of one of our toilets and then at the same time, in another part of the house, wet concrete (under the carpet) along a bedroom wall and into the hall that borders another bathroom. These areas are approximately 40 feet apart and there was no water in between. There also was some standing water in the bathtub drain in the second bathroom. No one had used that bathroom. We called a plumber and he thought the water came in under our foundation (we have had an unusual amount of rain). The floors dried and then the next week, before we could get the carpet back down, it happened again. This time though the first toilet I mentioned was running (the chain for flap was kinked and flap was up). There was water around the base of that toilet and again in the other part of the house as described earlier. We called the plumber and he said a running toilet should not have caused that problem and recommended a diagnostician to examine our pipes with a camera. We called the diagnostician and he said he didn't think we needed him. He said it was most likely a roof leak! My husband checked the attic as instructed. We do have a very small roof leak around a flashing over one bedroom but nothing major and the attic was basically dry... We still think it is a plumbing problem given that it occurred when the toilet had been running (probably 2 hours) and it had not rained that say. What should we do next?? Thanks for your help.

Do you think all of this could be related to our septic tank? Maybe it has been overwhelmed by the unusual amount of rain and instead of the running toilet water just going down the drain, it has backed up in the line and into both bathroom areas? The water was clean and no odor. I hope someone has some ideas for us. We are puzzled. Thanks.
