When I take a shower water leaks in my garage and in front of the house but it does not seem to leak when I run the bath thanks

This won't be fun because I suspect the pipe that goes from the mixer to the shower head is leaking. You might have to open the wall but first try a few investigations. Remove the knob and the bezel. Look inside the opening and turn on the shower. You might be lucky and see the leak is immediately at the mixer and can be repaired. If the water is coming from above the mixer I'm afraid you'll need to open the wall to replace the pipe or resolder.

In addition to the fine answer above, I would like to submit the following. In one of my bathrooms with a shower and tub, when I was having plumbing problems and needed to fix them, I was able to put in a permanent access panel so that if I ever had plumbing problems again, I would be able to fix the problem without tearing the wall apart. The access panel is not located on a wall in a tub, but is on the wall behind the head of the tub that divides the bathroom.

I know that not all bathrooms are constructed this way, but if yours is, you may want to consider putting in an access panel. Mine is low to the floor and right behind all of the valves for the tub and shower. I painted it the same color as the walls.

For me, I just like to have easy access to all of my plumbing in case there is a problem.

Mine backs up to the vanity for the sink. So, it isn't all that visible. The waste paper basket is also in that area.

If you take down the mirror in our bedroom you'll see an access panel. Hiding things in plain site can be easy.

It may be the caulking around the tub. I had the same thing and just recaulked around the tub. Problem solved.
You can test this by running the shower but directing the water away from the walls.
Just a thought before you start tearing out walls.
If not, I would agree with Clough and Ballenger

Most likely the supply line between the valve and shower head.
