We recently bought a dehumidifer for the basement and while opening the cap of the floor drain (to put the drain hose off the dehumidifer into the drain) we noticed that the drain appears to have standing water and what appears to be "solids" or raw sewage. I think standing water is normal...
I have standing water in roof sewer vents. Is this normal.

We have standing water in our sewer vents level with the roof line. We are not having issues with drainage, however the tub and toilet will gurgle when I wash a load of clothes and it drains. Should these lines be clear or is it normal to have water in them.
