    Sink next to washer
I am new to plumbing and I want to add a sink next to the washer. Would like to know what would be the right way to add a drain and vent for the sink. How about venting with AAV system? I am in Florida. The sink would be on the right side of the standpipe.

I believe AAVS are allowed in Fl., so that will work to your benefit, for sure!

Cut a 2"x1.5" sanitary tee fitting BELOW the sanitary tee fitting for the washing machine drain and then direct that fitting toward the new sink to be installed. Install an AAV and a Ptrap to the new sink and you should be all set!

In some cases, you can WET VENT a sink (use another fixtures drain/vent), but NOT if the fixture drain is from a washing machine, so use the AAV, OK?
