    New fan has 5 wires.. where do they go?
    I'm hooking up a new fan and the old one only had 3 wires the new one has 5. Red, yellow, black, purple and brown. This is a protech reversible motor. I'm lost on this one, please help!

    There should be a wiring diagram either on the motor or the paper work which came with the motor.
