Is the broiler heating element supposed to turn red maytag performa model per5750qas
Is the broiler heating element inside the oven supposed to turn red when at highest temperature, the oven heats up but I can't tell if the broiler element is working correctly

With some ovens, during the heating cycle, the top element comes on but at a low level or does not come on at all. When in the Broiler position, the top element glows brightly and the bottom element usually shuts off or only low heats. Set the oven to Broil and see what happens to the top element.

Inside the oven you have the roasting element which is at the top of the oven and then you have the baking element which is at the bottom of the oven. My question is how do I remove the old element and so I can install the new one. The oven bottom seems to be covering the bottom baking heating...
Maytag Peforma model PYE4500AYW: It has power (light is on and you can hear it trying to click) but it doesn't turn. When you push it to start, you can hear the timer clicking, but nothing else happens. Any ideas?
