    Coleman MH furnace leaks fuel.
What would cause the furnace to leak stove oil? There is no leaking around the fuel line. That part is dry. It seems to be under the motor part.
I am totally out of my element here.
The furnace is in the shop not my home.
I turned the thermostat off, the fuel valve- off, the breaker to the furnace- off.
I have a call in to a furnace repairman but I would kind of like to know what I might be dealing with.
    Appreciate any help.
    Thank you.

There are several possibilities but the most common are:
    Dirty nozzle
Warped or otherwise damaged end cone
Heat exchanger plugged (Furnace needs cleaning)
    Cracked heat exchanger

Thank you so much for replying Grady White. :)
Are any of these things that I can do?
Check and clean or change the nozzle?
    Clean the furnace?
Check to see if the heat exchanger is cracked?
Or do I have to rely on the "furnace man".. who has not yet returned my call. It's a good thing that the furnace is in the shop and not my home, it went to minus 34 last night...

If you are truly out of your element, you'd best wait for the furnace man. If you told him the furnace was in your shop, I'm sure you are a bit lower on his priority list than homes or businesses without heat. At minus 34 I'm sure he has more on his plate than he can handle.

Yes, truly out of my element.
I am recently widowed and absolutely none of the furnace, plumbing, shop etc. stuff is even remotely in my loop sadly.I just know my husband always kept the shop heated. I am trying to learn some of the basics so I am not totally ignorant when I call for help. If it is something I can do though, I am willing to learn and I suppose I will be doing a lot of that.
    Thanks again for your help.

Often local community colleges or technical schools offer short courses for various types of home maintenance & repair. It's certainly worth checking into.
