How to set thermostats on 1970's electric radiant heating system
We have a radiant ceiling and floor heating system circa 1970's and I need to know the best way to set the thermostats. We have a separate one for each room, and I need to know if it is better to set them all at the same temperature and let them run constantly or if I should be truning them all down during the day? My husband says that they wall need to stay warm or it will use more energy to heat them rooms in the evening so if we turn it down during the day, it will take more energy to run them at night. SInce our electric bill was $400 I am not sure he is doing in right.

Noise when 2 zones of radiant heating system used [ 1 Answers ]

When I start up 2 or more zones of my radiant heating I get a whoo whoo noise over and over. Any suggestions? I have already tried bleeding the air from the system. The system has a newer bladder system expansion tank. It doesn't happen with just one zone, only when a second is activated.
