    Have you seen a doctor about this? Is the teenager having any developmental delays or medical problems?

    Sometimes it's a physical cause and can be easily corrected with surgery. My cousin had this problem as a ten year old and it was finally realized that it wasn't her fault - had nothing to do with her drinking water too late at night or behavior or immaturity or anything, she just had an issue with her bladder that required correction.

    There are 100s of medical reasons the teen needs a complete exam to rule out and find the problem
