    If I think I'm pregnant, can I start on the pill?
    My boy friend thinks I might be pregnant. I can't remember the last time we had sex and I don't really want to go and get a pregnancy test. Can I start taking the pill even though I'm not on my period? If I can, now often do I need to take it to make sure I'm not pregnant?

    What did your doctor tell you, Normally you start the pill when you have your period.

    How long has it been since you had a period?

    My doctor had told me that when I do take the pill it should be one a day around the same time. I haven't been on the pill for a while. My last period was approx 2weeks ago and I don't remember having sex in those last 2 weeks , if I can take it, and it's just to make sure I'm not pregnant, how long do I need to take it for?
