I've been in a relationship for 4 years and a month. I totally screwed up with my ex-girlfriend during this last year. I didn't go to school, hung out with my friends, partied and all those other things a guy does when he's not in school/work.
Two months ago, she decided she wanted to stop seeing each other for a month or so because things were not going very well between us. I refused and told her I wanted to stop seeing her.

First week, I hung out with my friends, partied like hell and met a few women. But after two weeks, I started missing her like I've never missed ANYTHING in my entire life. I contacted her but she was on vacation. When she came back, I told her that I had realized that I love her more than anything. However she said that she'd moved on.

One month later, I still feel the same way but she wants to stay in contact because she says that she still loves me... Is this kind of relationship possible?

And I can say this because I am a girl. I can see her side.

Well you can be her friend. Express your love for her. Try to convense her. If she loves you still she will definitely get back to you.

I suggest you should go for her friendship. This way you can stay in contact with her. And hangout with her.

After all that history you will only be reminded of what you had. We all do that when we get dumped. Take her word that she has moved on and save your dignity and self respect by not chasing her to get her back.

No friends is a torture at this time for a guy trying to stay friends after being dumped. Missing someone after 4 years is as natural as it gets, regrets all around, but don't let that keep you stuck in false hope and think friends is your best option, it isn't. Misery is easy, and that's what you will get when you play that's friends game.

Sorry guy, read some posts on this forum of those who tried that friends stuff, and see what I mean. Before you screw yourself around.

After four years of sharing, I can only believe her words. I don't think she's playing games or something like that. It's sad but that's what life is, isn't it? Happiness and sadness. Ups and downs.
