    Medallion ac unit contactor
Hello, I'm having trouble with my ac unit. Everything clicks on except the fan on the unit outside won't turn, but I can get a stick and turn it and it turns and stays on for about 1 hour or so and then the fan stops turning. What could be causing this?

It is a good possibility that the fan motor capacitor is defective OR the motor itself. Depending upon the age of the unit I would probably replace the fan motor and buy a new capacitor that matches the new motor.
