    Faulty Thermostatic Mixer Valve Shower
We have a fault on our mixer valve and hot water is bleeding in to the cold - and the combi boiler is on and off every few minutes. The bar mixer valve is constantly very warm to touch. The cold feed feels hot to touch. How can we fix it? Is it just a valve or something inside the bar mixer that could be renewed? Or does the whole thing need replacing?

    Hi Philip

Yeah, it sounds like the mixer cartridge inside the bar faucet has failed and needs to be replaced.

I'd remove the guts to the faucet and take it over to the local plumbing supply store... should have a replacement cartridge in stock if you are lucky!

Let me know how you make out, OK?
