I hung out with this girl all the time. She was always there when I needed her and vice versa. Then all of a sudden about 3 weeks ago it feels like everything has changed. She hardly says more than a sentence to me. When I text her she may reply once or twice then quit talking. Today I asked what she was doing she replied that she was doing some things for college and family so I simply said well if you feel up for walking later (we used to walk all the time) let me know. She never replied. Is been like this for three weeks.

I don't know what happened and it makes me very sad because I feel like I lost a good friend without an explanation. I asked her about a week ago if she and I were OK she kind of brushed it off and said I'm just busy. But had plenty of time to talk to everyone else. Really need some advice on this.

She keeps saying she is busy with other things and you just keep pushing. Take the hint that she has other things more important than walking, and talking, and texting with you, and doesn't care to share.

For your part, as frustrating as it may be, respect that she is busy, and cultivate other friendships, and activities as many friendships will grow and fade with time and curcumstances. So don't make a pest of yourself because she is BUSY, and you don't understand why.

I know change sometimes can be difficult, a friend that you used to hang around with is no longer around and its hard not to let different thoughts run through your mind. You will have to trust in what she says and that she really does have other things on her mind and is really busy. Give her some time, enjoy some walks on your own or maybe invite a new friend out for a walk. Enjoy the company of others.

Shot in the dark here, but perhaps she has a boyfriend who isn't comfortable with her having guy friends.

That would be very true if I were a guy :)

I haven't pushed at all. Ever since this started I may text her now twice a week unless our job requires us to get up with each other. When she stops answering I stop. I asked once if things we were OK, then left it alone. I have gotten to where I avoid her completely. So the being pushy and all that doesn't apply. I know she is busy and I do respect it and am very proud of her getting her life back in order with school.. what bothers me is she is still the same with everyone else. She has only changed with me...

However the making new friends suggestion is good thank you :)
