    1989 civic dx lacks power
    I just took a 1989 civic dx out for a test drive but it seemed like it had no power is this normal... I've never driven one before, I put he pedal to the floor and it just kind of slowly accelerated but did it going pretty fast just had no power off the start or when I took my foot off and applied it again... and also when ideling in gear it is really rough but when you put it in nuetral its fine how do I adjust the idle?

    1. See if this helps with setting idle rpm:

    2. Replace spark plugs (NGK only).
    3. Check timing:

    4. If problem persists, replace rotor, distributor cap, spark plug wires, igniter, and coil.
