    Theft 1, first offense.what to expect
    I was caught stealing $1000 dollars from my job over a couple months time. A cop came, arrested me and took me to a holding cell where within a couple hours was fingerprinted and had mug shots taken and then was released. I already spoke with the loss prevention team at my job prior to being arrested and already agreed to pay the money back. This was my first time being arrested and have never been in trouble for anything. I have a court date in a few weeks and was just wondering what I should expect. Will the judge sentence me to jail time? And if so, for how long? Do I need to get a lawyer? I have no idea what to do or what I should expect to happen. I need answers!:confused:

    The sorry part don't matter a hill of beans to me! In truth, you're sorry you got caught. I got it. I understand. I don't care. I'm not here to judge you, so don't BS me!

    There is NO WAY for me to predict what will happen. NONE! You need to take this thing one step at a time. He can only sentence you IF YOU'RE FOUND GUILTY. That's not a foregone conclusion. Unless, of course, you just want to lie down and give up. If that's what you want to do, go to court, hang your head, shuffle your feet, tell 'em your sorry, and take whatever they give you.

    Or, you can hire a lawyer.

    I have to go to court now I was accused of stealing 7000 dollars worth of grocerys I was forced of signing a confession I was scared what do I do I never been in trouble before

    Well, I go into work yesterday and am pulled into the back. He said that the voids and inventory are too high and the money has to be going somewhere Myself and another fellow employee were fired. He said there is enough on camera to take to court and have us arrested. The camera went off on another employee and they saw him using the key to get into the register.. but it sticks sometimes and the cameras go out every once and a while.. on me they said that even though I did voids that items on the voids are still going out the window yet the store is not coming up over in money if that is the case, But , so far they have no proof of me sticking money in my pocket, but the voids and the money a lone is enough to put us behind bars.
    I am scared to death. I have never done anything in my lfie and this happens and I don't know what to do. I can barely eat, sleep.. I don't know my nerves are on end. And I don't want to go to jail.
