    Stressed with late period
    I'm 18 years old and my boyfriend and I always have protected sex using a condom. My period was like a week late last month so I wasn't sure when to expect it this month and in addition to that I have been really stressed out lately about school- so could that make it late again this month? I am cramping like I normally do but about 4 days ago there was some brownish discharge but it went away and there was a tiny bit again today... I don't feel pregnant or really have any of the symptoms but I was just wondering if stress would make my period even more late than it was last time or if you think I'm pregnant? Please help!

    Stress can definitely cause the symptoms you are experiencing. However, sex, no matter what kind of protection you use can result in pregnancy. Bithr control, and it does not matter what kind, is not 100% effective.

    You could ease your mind by taking a HPT using first morning urine, that may relieve a little of your stress. However, if you do not get your period in about another week, it may be in your best interest to visit your doctor to make sure everything is okay.
