    Wiring basement
I am using metal studs in my basmsnt. I positioned each outlet 18inches on center from floor. I purchased the grommets and am ready to start fishing the wire. Can I use the hole in the stud located 5 inches lower than each outlet location in order to save wire? That is, the next available hole is 4 feet higher. Basically, can the 14/2 or 12/2 run below outlet and about 12 in. from floor of a basement?
    Thx
