How to change your license plates when buying an out-of-state vehicle?
My husband is buying a used vehicle from a private seller and he is going to have to go out of state to get it. What does he do about the license plate? He thinks he is going to have to get a Florida one and then change it to North Carolina when he gets back. Is there a simpler way to do this?

Old license plates [ 2 Answers ]

I have several old license plates and am not sure what to do with them. One of them is a plate that is no longer in use (ie the state switched to different plates) but the other two are still the same as the ones in use. I don't want to just throw them away- is it illegal to sell them at a flea...
