Think I'm jealous that my best friend is engaged
So my male best friend gets engaged and posts it on a social network site before telling me. I thought we told each other everything, clearly not. Our friendship hasn't been the same since he got into a relationship with his now fiancˇe. We used to talk and see each other everyday till they got together. They haven't been dating long with has confused me, it's not like him to commit like that. After reading they are engaged I felt so hurt. It made me feel physically sick. I don't know why. Am you jealous?

    Few of us escape jealousy.
It's how you handle it that matters.
We ACCEPT that even best friends fall in love and abandon us to varying extents for a while while romance is in bloom.
You sigh, you wait, you cultivate other friends, you study, you take up a hobby or a sport, you go see long lost relatives, you help the poor and lonely, perhaps even other 'ditched' people like you.
Heck, I had a bunch of neighbor roommates once and one woman's friend came to visit and ended up with her boyfriend and moved in. How does THAT hurt.
    Good luck.

Very possible, but often friendships change as we change where and how we are in life.

I think it's admirable that he puts time with his girlfriend first.

Maybe if you were in a serious relationship you'd feel differently about things.

If you think you never hear from him now, wait until he's a father!

    Thanks Guys.
Figured it out. I guess I'm sort of jealous. I love him (he's my best friend) but she also loves him in a totally different way which makes me think I'm going to lose him, something I'm clearly scared of.
I now have to accept he will always need me just not as much as he used to or as much as I'd like xx
